Symptoms include pain and stiffness in the jaw, painful and annoying clicking or popping sensation in the jaw when opening or closing your mouth, ear pressure, constant headaches, discomfort in the shoulders and neck, lockjaw, and tinnitus. How do we treat Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ)? We show our patients how to work their jaw to stretch the muscles, relax the area, relieve tension, and increase flexibility. We also use heat/ice therapy to do away with swelling, lessen pain and increase circulation.
