Also known as osteoarthritis spine, this condition involves the deterioration of intervertebral discs in the spine and affects over three million Americans every year. This disease is caused by tears and cracks in these discs, lack of cushioning fluid in the discs, injury, and old age.

What are the symptoms of degenerative disc disease?

Consistent discomfort in the lower back, pain in the hips, on-and-off tingling, numbness, and increased symptoms when bending down, lifting something heavy, and sitting for an extended period of time. You start noticing symptoms after an injury, after bending over, or it may just start happening at random.
